REVIEW USI value my relationships with my patients and try to improve their quality of life leading them to what makes us well scientifically. I constantly study to be current with medical information to serve them. Practicing in a small concierge practice allows me to make recommendations that support healthy choices, and leads patients back to health when the random presentation of illness may affect them.
I am a General Internal Medicine specialist who has practiced primary care in Delaware County for over 20 years. I refer to Bryn Mawr Hospital along with providing medical care to patients at a local retirement community. I am a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and trained at The Graduate Hospital in affiliation with the University of Pennsylvania for my residency.
At a time in medicine when there is a complex health care system, I strive to continue to provide the patient with the best medical care possible - thorough, individualized and integrated-- because I believe it will lead to better health. To my patients I am their personal and sole primary care physician providing multiple benefits: 24/7 emergency access via telephone, hospital visits by me if there is a need for you to be hospitalized (Bryn Mawr Hospital), home visits if warranted, a wellness approach, a newsletter, an annual physical exam, and annual preventive care assessment. We see patients the same day for visits if sick.
During the past 2 decades, I have worked to provide excellent care to my patients in the office, at the hospital and in skilled care facilities. I spend extra time and attention on communication, availability, advocating for patients, coordinating patient care and constant review of clinical medicine developments. My values are to individualize and personalize care by knowing the patient's' multiple problems, coming to know their approach to living and interacting with their families as needed.
I have been acknowledged the past by various "Top Doc" surveys for this care, including the Main Line Times, Philadelphia Magazine, Castle Connolly's and U.S. News and World Report.
In April 2017 I completed Board Recertification in Internal Medicine, one of only 1000 Internists, approximately 1-2% of Internists who became Certified prior to 1990 in the United States. In November 2017 I completed Board Recertification in Geriatrics.
